About Young Folkies
Young Folkies is a regular live music session for babies and toddlers (0-5yrs) based in North East London run by professional musician and singer Marisa (Marisa is a parent too!).
Marisa plays folky, acoustic versions of nursery rhymes and original new songs.
Puppets and toys only add to the sing-along fun. So come along to one of our regular sessions or book Young Folkies for a birthday party / NCT get-together or special event.

Refund policy: In the event of illness, tickets might be able to be used for another session if we can resell them. You must let us know at least 24 hours before the session. Refunds will be given in the case of cancellation of a session by Young Folkies.

Rather than pre-recorded music Young Folkies offer live singing and natural acoustic guitar every time. Stimulate their senses and inspire them to pick up an instrument.
Interactive
Young Folkies sessions thrive on interaction. Familiar nursery rhymes encourage singalong. While instruments and toys are shared out amongst the children to play along..
Classics and original songs
Classic nursery rhymes and songs they know and love accompanied by inspiring original songs by Marisa with positive and calming messages for young children like 'Be You' and 'Goodnight'.
Develops skills
Studies have shown that children who learn nursery rhymes and songs can reap numerous language, learning and social benefits! Repetition of rhyme and rhythm can help children to develop language and literacy, communication and cognitive skills*
